About the game
Subversive Memories is a game about the horrors of being oppressed by those who should protect us and the memories of the victims of ruthless dictatorships that kidnapped, censored and killed thousands of people.
The game itself is heavily inspired by classic survival-horror games from the late 90s, employing retro 3d graphics, limited resources and an involving mystery that respects the players ability to put the all the pieces together.

I’ve been following your progress on Twitter and I have to say this is amazing work so far! Definitely see the inspirations from Signalis here. I love the bits of lore scattered around to flesh out the world too. The ambience is great and combat is pretty engaging. I really like needing to use the flashlight to see the enemy. It adds a sense of dread to fights since the light is also the “ammo”.
I did encounter some bugs/issues, here’s a list: -If you rapidly click in front of a door you switch between rooms very quickly. I feel like there should be a cooldown in between room transitions before you can go through the door again. -If you interact with an item too quickly while using a controller, the button to proceed the dialogue stops working. -It’s a little hard to run and aim at the same time on the controller. Maybe make L1 also the run button, unless you have another feature for it?
Other than that, really good work! The game is pretty fun to play so far. Looking forward to whatever comes next!
My gosh, sorry I didn't see your comment before srg. Thanks a million for the feedback. I will check these bugs that you found, I hope all of them will be solved for a Steam demo. Also, I saw your game on the EEK3 showcase, the trailer was great and I think you are doing an amazing job!
